One of Türkiye’s long-established cable manufacturers, Sevtel Marine Kablo, took its place at Metstrade 2025, showcasing domestically produced solutions it has developed since 1977 in vehicle and marine cable technologies. Operating in a 2,000 m² indoor production facility in Istanbul, the company is positioned as a reliable supplier in both the Turkish and international markets with its certified cable products designed specifically for the maritime sector.
The company formalized its quality journey in 1984 by obtaining the TSE certification. Today, its production range includes marine cables compliant with IEC 60092-360/350 standards, as well as products certified by RINA and Türk Loydu.
Following its founder Hüsnü Sevim, the company is now managed by second-generation representative Varol Sevim. One of the most notable innovations at Metstrade 2025 was the LXNAV E360 Round Chartplotter, which adapts aviation technology to marine navigation systems. Winner of the DAME 2025 Award, this device offers significant ergonomic advantages in panel design with its compact circular form, NMEA 2000 integration, and support for OpenSeaMap and Navionics charts.
This development demonstrates that marine electrical infrastructure—together with cabling solutions and digital device integrations—is evolving toward more compact, more efficient systems with higher data transmission capabilities.
